Code of Conduct

As a member of the Southern Local Little Indians, explore our Code of Conduct policy for players, families, fans, and all organization members in Salineville, Ohio. We foster an environment of respect, encouragement, and healthy competition, ensuring positive interactions with opponents, their fans, and referees.

The Southern Local Little Indians are committed to creating a positive, respectful, and competitive environment for all players, families, fans, and members of our organization. This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for everyone involved to ensure a supportive and enjoyable experience for our youth football and cheerleading community in Salineville, Ohio.

  1. Respect for All
All members of the Southern Local Little Indians—players, families, fans, and staff—are expected to treat everyone with respect, including teammates, coaches, opponents, opposing fans, and referees. Disrespectful behavior, such as taunting, bullying, or using offensive language, will not be tolerated.

  2. Encouragement and Support
We strive to foster an environment of encouragement. Players, families, and fans should cheer for our team in a positive manner, focusing on uplifting our athletes rather than criticizing others. Negative comments or actions toward any individual, including opponents or officials, are unacceptable.

  3. Healthy Competition
Competition is at the heart of our program, but it must always be fair and sportsmanlike. Players are expected to compete with integrity, following the rules of the game, while families and fans should model good sportsmanship by supporting fair play and accepting the decisions of referees and coaches.

  4. Responsibility as Stewards
We take pride in our facilities and community spaces. All members are expected to be good stewards by picking up their own trash, keeping sidelines and bleachers clean, and respecting the property of our fields, schools, and opponents’ venues. Leave every space better than you found it.

  5. Behavior at Events
During practices, games, and events, all members must act in a way that reflects positively on the Southern Local Little Indians. This includes refraining from disruptive behavior, following venue rules, and adhering to any additional guidelines set by coaches or event organizers.

  6. Zero Tolerance for Harassment or Violence
Any form of harassment, discrimination, or violence—whether physical, verbal, or emotional—will not be tolerated. This includes actions directed at teammates, opponents, referees, or spectators. Such behavior may result in immediate removal from the event and further disciplinary action.

  7. Accountability and Consequences
Violations of this Code of Conduct will be addressed by the organization’s leadership. Depending on the severity, consequences may include a warning, suspension from team activities, or removal from the program. We aim to handle all situations fairly and with the best interest of the community in mind.

  8. Commitment to Communication
If concerns arise, we encourage open communication. Players, families, or fans should address issues respectfully with a coach or organization leader to resolve conflicts in a constructive manner.

By participating in the Southern Local Little Indians, you agree to uphold this Code of Conduct and contribute to a community built on respect, encouragement, and responsibility. Together, we can create a positive and memorable experience for all.
